Antonio Sagardía has practiced criminal law from both sides of the courtroom at its highest level. A former district attorney, he was appointed Secretary of Justice of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the island's chief legal officer, in 2009, and has spent more than three decades trying cases in Puerto Rico's state and federal courts.

His practice today is devoted to the defense of individuals and institutions in serious criminal matters: state and federal prosecutions, government investigations, and the cases where reputation, liberty and livelihood are on the line at once.

Jorge Sagardía counsels companies, investors, creators and artists doing business in and from Puerto Rico. His practice spans corporate and commercial law, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, distribution and franchising, government affairs and procurement, real estate, and trusts and estates.

He leads the firm's intellectual property and entertainment work: trademarks, copyrights and music licensing, representing clients across Puerto Rico's creative industries. He was educated at Villanova University.
